Community Training

Anti-trafficking and victim services training is offered by the Human Trafficking Victim Services staff at the International Institute on the following topics:

  • Legal definitions of human trafficking
  • Elements of trafficking
  • Key differences between trafficking and smuggling
  • Why migrants are vulnerable to traffickers
  • Signs that someone might be a victim of trafficking
  • Overcoming cultural and linguistic barriers when providing services to victims

  • Human rights approach to trafficking and slavery

Each training is tailored to the specific needs and interests of your organization.
